Welcome to Montavilla Community Acupuncture
Located on the east side of Mount Tabor in Southeast Portland, Montavilla Community Acupuncture (MCA) offers acupuncture and Chinese medicine to individuals as well as to groups. We believe that people have a right to good health and well-being and aim to make our clinic a place for realizing both—at affordable rates. We've moved! Our new address is 212 SE 79th Ave (still in Portland).
All acupuncture appointments are now made through online scheduling. Cost: community acupuncture is $30 for new and returning patients. For individual appointments without insurance, we offer a time-of-service discount with a range of cost of $90-110.
What to know before your first visit or return visit:
- We've moved! Our new location is 212 SE 79th Ave. Please note: while we adjust to our new location, online scheduling for community acupuncture and individual appointments is all through the website now, including waitlist options. Please call/text Mia at 503-539-9180 to inquire about availability or if you have issues with scheduling online. Masks are required for patients coming for treatment if they are experiencing cold/flu symptoms. Questions about it? Please text/call Mia at 503-539-9180.
- Please eat 1-3 hours prior to treatment. New patients (accepted through 09/21/2022 until further notice): ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY FOR PAPERWORK!
- Wear loose comfortable clothing.
- Treatments for community acupuncture are $30.00, payable by cash/check only. We do not run credit/debit cards or process insurance claims for community acupuncture. Practitioner will collect payment before treatment.
- Every appointment is 50 minutes long, which allows for completing a pre-screening checklist, doing an intake interview, and receiving treatment.
- There will be a bin for personal items; please try to limit the number of items brought into the clinic.
Cancellation/missed appointment policy:
Spaces for community acupuncture are limited and by missing an appointment, that seat is no longer available to another community patient. If you are unable to keep an appointment or want to cancel your online booking, please give the practitioner 48-hours notice before your scheduled treatment. IF YOU FAIL TO KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT OR CANCEL WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, THERE WILL BE A FULL OFFICE FEE, which is equal to the cost of treatment.

"Over the years Mia has treated me for headaches, anxiety, dizziness, body pain (back, neck and wrist), irregular periods, irregular sleep, allergies and common colds. I always leave every treatment feeling better than when I came in and have great trust and faith in her skills in acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I would recommend her for anyone wanting to try acupuncture and Chinese Medicine!" - LP, of SE Portland
