COVID-19 and canceling community acupuncture

Good Morning,

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel all our community acupuncture shifts for at least the next 2 weeks. It is becoming increasingly clear that this is the socially responsible thing to do for the health of our community, as everyone pulls together to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. This is a very uncertain time, and much could change, but our current plan is to re-open on Monday, March 30th.

This closure is effective starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, for the 10am shift.

We are hoping to reopen on Monday, March 30th, and will let you know as the day approaches what our plans are.

We are, for the time being, still seeing patients 1-1. If you want to know more about that, please let us know.

Thank you and please, take care. These are hard times and supporting each other as best we can is crucial.

Also, I will continue to post what I consider to be important and helpful info on the clinic FB page.

In solidarity,

Mia

Covid 19 response

There are many articles out there on Covid 19, and a lot of worry and a lot of uncertainty. Montavilla Community Acupuncture, with the aid of colleagues in and outside of Portland, will be offering vetted articles and advice as things progress. For the time being, we are open as usual for both individual and community acupuncture. Not surprisingly, we are asking people with upper respiratory tract infections to avoid coming in to the community acupuncture setting unless they have tested negative for Covid 19. This is to protect our vulnerable population as much as anything. Thanks for understanding and don’t hesitate to ask questions or give input. These are trying times but I believe we can support each other as a community to get through these days as well as possible.

End-of-the-year holiday hours 2019

Holiday hours! We will be open until noon on 12/24 and 12/31, so no community hours on Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, open other days with regular hours. Happy holidays to you all .

Thanksgiving Hours

Hi and almost Happy Holiday!

Just a brief email to let you know that we will be closed next Thursday, 11/28/19 for Thanksgiving. Julie also is going to be out of town next Sat, 11/30/2019 so her community acupuncture is cancelled that day.
But! I will be here next Wed and Fri (as well as the usual hours on Tue). Instead of shopping on Black Friday, come get acupuncture! Way better for digestion :).
Happy Holidays and just a reminder that here at MCA, we are thankful for you and your support.

We are open Monday, 11/11/19

Montavilla Community Acupuncture will be open on Monday, 11/11/19. We have community acupuncture that day from 10am-2pm and are available for private appointments, too. For inquiries, to make appointments, etc., you can call/text Mia at 503-539-9180. Thanks!

Open 10/14/19

We are open Monday 10/14/19 for community acupuncture 10-2. Have questions or want to make an appointment? Call/text 503-539-9180. Thanks!

Erica on vacation

Erica’s going to be out of town so we are canceling her Monday 10-2pm community acupuncture on Monday 8/26 and 9/2. I’ll be covering for her on 9/9. Last summer gasp!

Saturday 8/10 CA ends at noon

Julie’s Saturday 10-2pm session ends at noon this coming Sat, Aug 10th. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Montavilla Street Fair is this Sunday, July 28th!

We are excited to be participating in this year’s Montavilla Street Fair, this Sunday, 10-5 along SE Stark from SE 81-76th. Did you know that I was part of the inaugural market together with other METBA (Montavilla East Tabor Business Association) members? I still remember that day well because it POURED with rain. I am so happy that the street fair has continued and grown. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Julie on vacation

Here is a message from Julie: I am out of the office from July 11-18, returning on Saturday, July 20. My colleague Erica will be covering my shift on Thursday, July 11, and Mia will be covering my Tuesday, July 16 shift. Two shift cancellations: Saturday, July 13 10am-2pm  and Thursday, July 11th & July 18 10am-2pm.
